Ascend from Nine Mountains » Devlog
This release contains an overhaul of blood techniques, and a whole host of other features besides. I would also like to welcome Grinjombo to the team who has contributed his first event, hopefully the first of many.
New Features
- There is now an 'export save' button in the restore backup window, allowing for easy sharing of saves.
- Game font size can now be increased. This does cause clipping issues on a number of windows, but at least the game should be more playable for people who want it.
- Combat can now be set to 'Manual' speed. This shows the turn order, and requires clicking the advance button to progress. This mode should allow viewing that happens after each technique in combat in full detail.
- Added a Combat Statistics button, that allows viewing the current computed stats based on all in-combat state.
- Added a 'Styles' feature (also known as Loadouts). This allows grouping stances under a specific title, and out-of-combat swapping between styles. Styles can also be exported and imported, increasing the ease with which players can share their creations.
- The First Elder now has something to talk about with anyone who has condensed a few droplets.
Changes
- Enchantments in the inventory are now sorted by item type.
- Mine chamber rendering has been tweaked, to make the completed nodes less prominent.
- Crafting now takes time based on the realm of the recipe.
- Breakthroughs now take time based on the realm being broken through.
- Healing now takes longer as you progress through the realms.
- Instant Craft for the Perfect variant of a recipe now only takes 3 successes instead of 5.
- Mausoleum Gate second level beast wave now has some weaker enemies at its start.
- Condensation arts other than the Cycle of Nine now cost less Qi to condense.
- Condensation art can now be seen inside the Statistics and Inventory.
- Condensation Art enchantments now have a unique icon.
- Delivery quests now accept both rarities of an item.
- Spacebar now works in addition to Enter for advancing events and combat.
- Combat Summary now shows buffs too.
- Shop items with a reputation requirement now show the reputation group they are part of.
- 'Ma Lingzhu Lord' has been renamed to 'Lingzhu Lord' to reduce confusion on if they count as a 'Ma Lingzhu'.
- Bottleneck pill slot no longer shows if there is no valid pill in inventory, staying as the tooltip variant.
- Improved locked breakthrough visuals, and added hints as to how to unlock them.
- Events that mention 'walking' beyond the Body Forging realm have been reworded to reflect the usage of Flying Swords.
- Talisman Trader Hufu Shan now stocks Qi Condensation talismans.
- Improved combat visuals for Qi Droplets.
- Entering the Jiao Rest Stop now has a small event to introduce the area.
- All traders and shops now sell their lowest realm items to any cultivator. This opens the potential to acquire items beyond your realm with clever play.
- Shops now contain +10 and -10 buttons.
- Training Puppets now go up to +20.
Balance Changes
- Resource building enchantments are now better at incandescent than resplendent.
- Reduced the Intensity/Control penalty on the Overcharged enchantment.
- Fixed the numbers on the Greater Storage and Expanded Core art enchantments.
- Body Forging chance-based power masteries are now stronger.
- The equipment gained as part of a background are now significantly stronger.
- Thousand Year blade has had its power reduced to bring its damage to a more appropriate level.
- Barrier is no longer limited by Max Hp.
- Blood has been entirely reworked. Blood corruption now gives power, but lowers defense and deals self-damage at the end of the round. Pure Blood now gives Blood Boost. Most of the other blood techniques have been overhauled, see in game for details.
- Razor and Iron blossom now execute after other buffs, ensuring they always gain maximum effect from other buffs like the seed.
- Forge Dart now only consumes a max of 30 stacks of Metal Shard in a single usage.
- Artefacts that reduce stats (such as the Celestial Talon and Shadow Fan) now reduce the stat by the correct amount.
- Hurricane Fury now stacks properly, making it far more powerful.
- Power calculation has been overhauled. Enhancement has been weakened, and Boost effects have been strengthened. See the technique tooltip in the new Combat Statistics window for a more thorough breakdown.
- Technique enhancements are now slightly more expensive in dust cost.
- The Deflection enchantment no longer overrides the Protective enchantment.
- Wind Cutter damage has been increased.
Bug Fixes
- All Maddened Scavengers now drop Discarded Remnants.
- Recipes screen now shows the category scroll button properly.
- Fixed clicking the condense button.
- Fixed a number of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
